Tec-Ease announces Fall 2006 Public Seminar Dates

September 5, 2006

Tec-Ease, Inc. announces dates for their Fall 2006 Public Seminars. They are offering three GD&T classes - Overview of GD&T, GD&T Fundamentals, GD&T Applications, and a Tolerance Stack-Up class.

Overview of GD&T will be held in Houston, Texas on October 30. In this class you will learn the symbols, terminology and rules of Geometric Tolerancing as prescribed in the current standard (ASME Y14.5M-1994). The GD&T Hierarchy will be presented to explain the relationship between tolerances and how to most economically apply the concepts.

GD&T Fundamentals, a two-day class, will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, November 8 & 9 and in Albany New York, November 28 & 29. This advanced course sharpens your Geometric Tolerancing skills, and makes the tool even more useful. Drawing from the real world of industry, the instructor introduces you to functional dimensioning; shows you how Geometric Tolerancing reduces product costs; teaches you how to select part datums; discusses profile tolerancing and gaging in-depth; and provides dozens of time- and cost-savings tips. And that's not all! You'll take part in extensive classroom discussions, team exercises and problem-solving session.

GD&T Applications, a two-day class will be held in Livonia, Michigan, October er 17 & 18. You'll take part in extensive classroom discussions, team exercises and problem-solving sessions.

Tolerance Stack-Up, a two-day class will be held in Livonia, Michigan, December 5 & 6. This advanced training teaches you how to study the cumulative effect of part tolerances in order to reduce product costs. You'll learn how to establish part tolerances, perform 2-D analyses of designs, use geometric tolerances in stack ups, and much more. Numerous assemblies will be studied. A workshop to apply tolerance stack-up analysis techniques to student supplied problems may be included.
