Ed has 45+ years' experience in drafting, mechanical design, inspection, tolerance analysis and technical training. He teaches Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Fundamentals, Geometric Tolerancing Application, Tolerance Stack Analysis, and Print Reading.
His involvement with a broad range of industries has yielded practical and cost-effective design, manufacturing, and inspection solutions, as well as expanded his hands-on experience in the field of engineering documentation. Examples include Dept. of Defense (DOD) projects, aerospace, expandable space stations, electron beam accelerators, product handling equipment, blown film winders, semi-conductor robotics, laser imaging systems, security inspection & NDT, electron volt linear accelerator systems, medical and missile systems.
Ed contributed to the development of electron guns, vacuum chambers, high voltage conductors and product handling designs requiring intricate designs using sheet metal, ceramic, machined parts and weldments.
As the primary GD&T trainer at Raytheon Missile Systems, Ed successfully mentored thousands of RMS professionals during his tenure.
He is an active of member of numerous ASME committees:
